Here's how to layer the roll filling
For this part of the easy recipe, you'll require:
- Equipment: A clean tea towel
- A hand held blender
- The baked thin layer of cake
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 2/3 cup Pumpkin Puree
Preparation:
With a hand held blender, whip the cream till it is thick and doubled in volume. It doesn't take long. A hand held blender is a MUST in any kitchen as it saves so much time and energy. Gone are the days when you'd whip with a whisk.
Make the fresh pumpkin puree stewing it with 2 large tablespoons of sugar. If you'd like to

Part 1:
Wet and wring out a clean tea towel.
Lay it out on a clean flat surface on your counter top.
Quickly remove the cake from the baking tin handling it gently holding onto the edges of the parchment or greaseproof paper.
Lay the cake on the paper onto the damp tea towel. The cake will cool but being moist, it is less likely to crack when rolled.
Trim of the edges to make the cake a regular size, as in the picture.
Using the back of a butter knife, carefully and gently score a line into the cake about 1 inch from the edge of the cake on the shorter side. This will help the process of rolling. Have a look at the instructions on the image.
Part 2:
Spread the remaining pureed pumpkin over the thin cake, leaving a margin of about 1/2 inch all around the edge.
Top with 1/3 of the whipped cream.
You're ready to move to the next step which is to roll the cake with the filling.
