As usual, I've learned to make these homemade no yeast breads as a one pot mix so that there is the least amount of handling.
Easy No Yeast Homemade Breads
Here it is, the recipe for the most popular bread at our home. The family love eating this homemade bread and I love making it as it takes no time at all.
The recipe makes one loaf tin sized, savory bread. To make 2 savory loaves, just double the proportions.
You'll need:
• 3 oz/80 gm butter
• 2 cups self raising flour
• 1 tblspn sugar
• 1 tspn salt
Turn on oven to preheat - 390F/200C
Rub the butter into the flour
• Put all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl. I use a large saucepan
• Cut the butter roughly into the dry ingredients with a butter knife. Keep cutting it into the flour till it is in small bits
• Use your fingers and rub the butter into the flour. It will look like yellowy breadcrumbs
Toss in the rest
• 2 1/2 cups shredded tasty cheese
• 1 cup semi-dried tomatoes or capsicums, cut roughly
• 1/2 cup pitted black olives, cut roughly
• 1 cup milk
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 cup ham, diced (optional)
• Mix the ingredients into the flour mixture and lastly the egg and milk
• Combine well till it becomes a soft dough
• Spoon the dough into a silicone loaf tin
Add Topping, then Bake
• 1/2 cup shredded tasty cheese
• 1/2 cup diced ham
• Put extra tasty cheese and extra ham over the top
• Bake for 35 minutes till the loaf is a lovely golden brown. Use a cake tester to check if it is cooked. It will come out clean when cooked
This homemade savory bread is ever so simple to make - there's no fussing around with yeast and as usual with our recipes, it's all mixed in one pot then into a baking tray and into the oven.

Use kitchen scissors instead of a knife when cutting up roughly. It is so much faster.
Always Allow To Cool
Your baked goodies slice so much firmer when it has cooled. So, allow to rest, then cool before slicing this homemade bread.
