Homemade Candy Recipes | Chocolate Coconut Cherry Squares
I baked various of my homemade candy recipes this week and this one had my family's "devour in no time" vote. These Chocolate Coconut Cherry Squares are incredibly easy to make and quick too. It takes all of 15 - 20 minutes.

My daughter reports her school mates were envious of this snack in her lunch box! I'll just have to make more for the other girls.
This absolutely yummy recipe makes 32 thin slices. This slice is rich, so I make it quite flat, so that the children don't eat too much all in one go. So, please double the quantity if you want thicker slices of candy, or else use a smaller/less wide mold.
Ingredients Melt together butter and chocolate in a saucepan over moderately high heat Pour the melted chocolate into the base of a greased oven proof dish Mix together all the remaining ingredients and firmly press on top of the cooled firm chocolate Here it is, golden brown Here's the side view While it is hot, cut it into slices with a sharp knife Homemade Candy Recipes
This is just about the simplest and quickest of my homemade candy recipes. Now, while it is hot, slice it with a sharp knife, into sizes that suit your family. As I've mentioned, I make the slices small so that my children don't eat rich food all at once. Now, how easy was that!
Tip Be sure to grease the mold before pouring in the chocolate mixture. This recipe is easily doubled in quantity to obtain a thicker, more luscious slice.
