This ground beef recipe is economical and whipped up in less than 15 minutes and then it's into the oven for 40 minutes.
(It's really my "lazy" bake when I need to get a good healthy meal for the children and I want a meal done quick smart)
Easy "Lazy" Ground Beef Bake
It so simple to do and prepared in less than 15 minutes. Easy "Lazy" Bake
This recipe serves 4 - 6 persons.
Serve freshly cooked short pasta. So that you serve this piping hot, start the cooking the pasta just before you start the "lazy" bake.

• 1 lb/500 gm Premium ground beef
• salt, onion, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar
• 1 tbsp flour
• 1 large onion, diced finely
• 1 can/400 gm/14 oz halved apricots
• 1 can/400 gm/14 oz corn kernels
• 2 cups frozen peas
• 4 bacon rashers, fat trimmed

• Preheat oven to 360F/180C
• Put the meat in a deep casserole dish and add seasonings with flour and combine well. Pour the apricot nectar in with the mat mixture and combine
• Layer with diced onion
• Layer with apricot halves
• Layer with peas
• Layer with corn
• Top with bacon rashers
• Bake covered for 30 minutes then uncovered for 10 minutes.

Now, how easy was that!
It has vegetables, inexpensive ground beef and tasty bacon.
...and best of all, it takes only the time to open up the meat and tip in a can of corn and frozen peas.

Tip
Cover it while in the oven so that it does not dry out. Oven cooking is ideal when you have other duties to attend to such as bathing the younger children or supervising homework.
